Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to have an advanced yoga practice to attend teacher training?

No! You do not need to be able to put your foot behind your head and do a perfect handstand to begin your yoga teacher training journey. You simply must be ready to dedicate your time and be present to the experience. Afterall, when a person heads off to college they generally have an interest in their field of study but rarely any experience. Through their coursework and classes, they eventually gain enough depth of knowledge to earn their degree. And even then the learning never truly stops! Yoga teacher training is the same – You do not need to have years of yoga experience under your belt to decide to teach the practice – it simply starts with a desire.

That being said, we do recommend having some previous yoga practice just so you are familiar with yoga terms, philosophy, and have a general idea of what to expect during the training.

Do I have to become a yoga teacher after completing this training?

No! Several people get their yoga teacher training for the beautiful transformative experience it brings them. However, since our training is certified by the Yoga Alliance, you will have the ability to teach at any time in the future as long as you maintain your registration with them.

“I’ve been feeling a little spiritually stumped lately when my friend recommended yoga teacher training to me. I was a little apprehensive at first about going to a different country, simply because I tend to be an anxious person, but ultimately decided that’s why I should go. And I am SO glad I did! The experience was incredible. I love that they focus on not only the body but the spirit as well. The meditation aspect of the course really opened me up and helped me release some of that anxiety and tension I had been carrying with me for so long. I feel like I finally found the break-through I needed to get out of my slump.

If you’ve been looking to enrich your body and soul, or just looking to get away, Enerchi would be my first recommendation.”

Happy Student

“I attended Enerchi Yoga teacher training in Costa Rica and this was probably one of the MOST healing experiences I have ever had. While I had an extensive yoga background before the training, what we learned at Enerchi was beyond the traditional asana practice I had been exposed to. I learned about yoga philosophy, Ayruveda, the chakra centers – I even had energy healing session for the first time! Sheri, Adrianna, and Bree are extremely approachable and have such diverse backgrounds that each gave me a unique perspective on the material and answered my questions thoroughly.

I feel so centered and balanced after this retreat, I would definitely recommend anyone on the fence to just do it! You won’t regret it!
